Defence + Industry ePortal
The Defence + Industry ePortal provides comprehensive and authoritative company
supplied information on Australian industry capability for Defence and other potential
customers. The ePortal is designed to provide industry with a tool to access a wide
and comprehensive range of Defence information including opportunities for companies
including SMEs, to participate in Defence acquisition and sustainment programs.
In Focus: Defence+Industry ePortal Closure (1 Dec 2014)
In 2015, the Australian Government will be releasing a new Defence White Paper,
reflecting the Government’s overall strategic, financial and broader policy
priorities. Following the release of the 2015 White Paper, a new Defence
Industry Policy Statement will be published to provide Defence industry with
greater certainty about Government priorities and timeframes.
In anticipation of the release of these key strategy documents, the Defence
Materiel Organisation (DMO) is undertaking a review of the way in which we
communicate with, and capture information from Australian defence industry. This
will assist in enhancing how we inform industry of potential opportunities, as
well as gather data on industry capabilities in support of the Australian
Defence Force. As part of this initiative, the DMO website has also recently
Along with the broader review and the DMO website upgrade, a decision has been
made to close the Defence + Industry ePortal (ePortal), which will not be
publicly accessible with effect from 1 December 2014. In making this decision,
the DMO would like to reassure our industry partners that existing information
contained in the database will be retained internally within the Department.
On account of the closure, the DMO is unable to accept any new company
registrations from 1 December 2014. You may, however, wish to contact the
Defence Business Access Office in your nearest state or territory, to obtain
