ePortal is now in operation, with the remainder of this Defence business gateway
to be progressively implemented during 2008. Within this website you will have
immediate access to information on a substantial number of existing and
potential Defence suppliers. The website provides essential links to Defence
information such as key Defence contacts, how to do business with Defence and
related Government sites.
In addition to providing free online registration for
companies wishing to profile their defence capabilities, it allows users to post
information on upcoming business opportunities within an online bulletin board.
This important initiative should lead to greater opportunities for Australian
companies, particularly SMEs. Doing business with Defence has never been easier
and I encourage you to maximise your opportunities to compete in the Defence
