The ongoing DMOSS Refresh process, RFT R001C, is aimed at ensuring new skill sets and panellists are able to be considered for inclusion in DMOSS on an 'as-required' basis, while still ensuring that the DMOSS Panel delivers value for money outcomes. The Defence Export Control Office (DECO) is responsible for administering controls on the export of defence and dual-use goods, and the granting of authorisations to export, in the form of permits and licenses.
The Defence Export Unit (DEU) sustains strategically and operationally important defence industry capabilities by assisting Australian defence industry to gain gain access to overseas export opportunities.

Team Australia is a collaborative initiative of the Australian Government and the Australian defence industry sector. It utilises the complementary strengths of government and industry to provide Australian defence capability solutions to global customers.
Industry associations, teaming organisations and business networks can act as conduits into Defence projects. They act as a point of contact to improve communication and working relationships between SMEs and Defence. Some of these organisations are identified below:
Naval Inventory Procurement Office (NIPO) is a centralised procurement and inventory management organisation which supports the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) and other services. NIPO employs a professional workforce that is proficient in: Materiel Requirements Determination, Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, Inventory/Asset Management, and Financial Management.
The SADI Program addresses the significant shortfall in the quantity and quality of workforce skills available to defence industry to ensure it can provide the materiel and capabilities the ADF requires. SADI is a grants program that provides funding to companies to improve the skills of their employees in trade and technical skill areas.
The Directorate of Supplier Quality Assurance Services (DSQAS) oversees the International Government Quality Assurance (GQA) and Domestic Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) programs within the DMO, aimed at supporting SPOs and Project/Program Managers in the delivery of products that meet Defence's capability requirements.
